UC ԭ is a top-10 public university in the United States for the fifth consecutive year in U.S. News & World Report rankings.
The magazine’s 2015 “Best Colleges” report puts UC ԭ as ninth among the nation’s public universities and 38th overall, up one place from last year.
U.S. News & World Report also recognized the College of Engineering and the University Writing Program. Earlier this year, QS World University Rankings declared .
“UC ԭ consistently performs strongly in national rankings because the people here create an extraordinary place of learning,” Chancellor Linda P.B. Katehi said. “We are proud that our scholarly work at UC ԭ brings national recognition to California.”
In the new U.S. News & World Report rankings, the College of Engineering ranked 31st among universities that offer doctorates in engineering.
U.S. News & World Report also included UC ԭ on lists of national universities where students graduate with the least debt, and of “best value” colleges.
The University Writing Program kept its place on U.S. News & World Report’s unranked assessment of universities that stand out for their teaching of “writing in the disciplines.” Eleven schools made the new list of “stellar examples” — with UC ԭ the lone California school among them.
