April 19, 21 and 22, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - Mountain lions will be the topic of three discussions in º£½ÇÔ´´, all of them led by UC º£½ÇÔ´´ veterinarian and wildlife-health expert Walter Boyce. Two are public events: a film at the Varsity Theater and a talk sponsored by Explorit Science Center. The third is a research workshop on the UC º£½ÇÔ´´ campus that will bring together all parties active in mountain-lion studies and management in California.
- Tuesday, April 19: As the boundaries between urban and rural landscapes change and blur throughout the state, Boyce will try to answer the question "Can people and mountain lions coexist in California?" It is sponsored by Novozymes Biotech. 7:30 p.m., º£½ÇÔ´´ Branch Library, 315 E. 14th St., º£½ÇÔ´´. Information: (530) 756-0191.
