Physician and best-selling author Andrew Weil's scheduled visit to UC º£½ÇÔ´´ on March 3 will take in the º£½ÇÔ´´ and Sacramento campuses, with public talks at both.
Weil promotes natural, holistic paths to health, and is widely credited with establishing and popularizing the field of integrative medicine -- combining conventional medicine with alternative treatments for which there is some scientific basis.
His philosophy emphasizes preventive health maintenance with a strong focus on diet, exercise and stress management.
His books include Health and Healing: The Philosophy of Integrative Medicine and Optimum Health, The Healthy Kitchen, Healthy Aging, and Dr. Andrew Weil's Self Healing.
