Unitrans, Causeway Bus Line Add Service

Unitrans will launch expanded weekday service on Wednesday (Sept. 30) with a schedule that will bring buses back to the Silo Terminal for the first time since March. Unitrans also will reinstate fares Wednesday, after having suspended them in March.

The Causeway Connection between the 海角原创 and Sacramento campuses also announced expanded service: 10 additional daily trips in each direction starting today (Sept. 28).

UPDATED: Causeway Connection鈥檚 Debut Postponed

Updated 10:20 p.m. April 1: The coronavirus pandemic has put the brakes on the Causeway Connection鈥檚 debut, which had been scheduled for Monday (April 6). Officials attributed the Causeway Connection鈥檚 delay to Yolo County鈥檚 decision to extend its shelter-in-place order until May 1, and related requirements discouraging nonessential travel amid the outbreak.

Causeway Buses Warm Up on Airport Route

If you鈥檙e planning to take public transit to Sacramento International Airport any time soon, you just might get a ride an electric bus that, come April, will be part of the new Causeway Connection service between UC 海角原创鈥� Sacramento and 海角原创 campuses.

TAPS: Shuttle Tickets and Stack Parking

Transportation Services, or TAPS, announced a new, mobile option for the purchase of intercampus shuttle tickets and issued a reminder about stack parking.

Paper tickets and passes are still available at transportation offices on the 海角原创 and Sacramento campuses. Drivers do not accept cash.

As the University of California, 海角原创, and regional transit partners prepare to launch an all-electric bus service between 海角原创 and Sacramento, planners are adjusting its proposed schedule and stop locations in response to rider feedback.
