UC 海角原创 Health Vice Chancellor and CEO David Lubarsky to Retire

University of California, 海角原创, Chancellor Gary S. May announced today that David Lubarsky, UC 海角原创 Health鈥檚 vice chancellor of human health sciences and chief executive officer, will retire from the university effective Feb. 15, 2025. After his retirement, Lubarsky will become president and CEO of Westchester Medical Center Health Network, a nine-hospital health system near where he grew up, in Valhalla, New York.

Following a nationwide search, UC 海角原创 Chancellor Gary S. May and University of California General Counsel Charles F. Robinson have selected Michael F. Sweeney to serve as chief campus counsel. University of California President Janet Napolitano approved the selection, which is effective as of April 1, 2018.

Joint Management of UC 海角原创, City Fire Departments to Conclude

The University of California, 海角原创, has informed the city of 海角原创 that it will end the agreement for shared management of the campus and city fire departments. UC 海角原创 Fire Chief Nathan Trauernicht has led both since Jan. 1, 2014.

Kelly Ratliff, UC 海角原创鈥� interim lead for Finance, Operations and Administration, gave formal notice of the decision to end the agreement in a Feb. 1 letter to City Manager Dirk Brazil.
